If anything one should change towels for each use if they want to avoid many bacteria, or use paper towels.

Working in a psyche hosp. for years once a hand towel/towel is used it begins to grow bacteria.

I might be adopting two more hermit crabs! Finally saw an ad on Craigslist, but they want $15 for two crabs in an awful setup (no mention of water treatments, gravel in a critter keeper...). I said I would take them if they are unsuccessful selling them.

It was a tip I heard ages ago... if there's a towel near by, I will dry my hands, otherwise I don't bother.

We use disinfectant soap throughout our home, and was told wash hands for at least 20-30 seconds then rinse and dry.

We put the toothbrushes through the dishwasher. It's what the husband's family always did after one of them had a cold. Thanks for the well wishes, guys!

Also, remember to dry your hands after washing them. Apparently most of the harmful bacteria and germs stay on your hands unless you dry them after a wash.

Go around the house and wipe off door knobs, cabinet handles, etc. with alcohol as well, not lysol....

Don't forget to buy the 90% proof alcohol. Use on toothbrush every time you use it so not to reinfect yourself.

I had a similar thing a while back, CJ. I had a rash and swollen joints too, turns out it was one of the less common forms of strep (never had any throat symptoms, go figure) that the doctor almost didn't test for.

They don't seem to know what she has - sore throat mostly, congested sinuses. Strep test and mono test comes back negative. Oy!

My niece is visiting from Delaware, and is running a fever of 104*! She went to the emergency room, got penicillin, got better, but next day, fever back up again. Delayed her flight home and is visiting an actual doctor today. Poor kid! She's 19.

Haha, I know how you feel, Marie! I gave it to my husband, unfortunately, so even though I'm starting to feel better (although I still have coughing attacks randomly), he's feeling awful. Such is life, I guess. I actually slept through the night last night!

Wai, you now know how I feel I think! I've given up on telling my 4 medium PPs apart, and the E's are running a close second, only because I have so many shells in the tank that someone could have swapped out and another picked up a shell like it, and they have grown SO much some of them! Silly crab.
