mystery molter

So for my friends memorial I got two crabs one smaller one almost medium sized. Today for my bday I got another smaller one from the same petstore I put him in the tank (all were bought same petstore within a week so skipped iso) I looked under the concrete hide away I though my first smaller one BMO was (he was there the last 4 days adjusting and what not) BMO was no where to be found and no fishy smell so I assume he is molting or under the sand some where (new pet store fresh crabs tend to molt asap right?) I can't find him anywhere I think I see him 3 in down in the sand should I put a 2 liter over him or jist leave him? Temp and humidity are good he just buried himself in the one area that isn't 6in deep which is what I've read and heard from others is the min amount of substrate if you want to just leave them in the big tank for moults

Hermit crabs from the pet store don't necessarily moult straight away. How is he now?
