How and why do you need to give them baths? Do u give it to them in the sink or what???

You bath a hermie in dechlorinated fresh or salt water (SEA SALT water, not with table salt). You set them in the container in which you're bathing them in. You can then take them out, and flip them upside down (still holding them) and pour a small amout of water on them. Tip them right side up again and let the water drain out. You give them baths to clean droppings and sand out of their shells. You can bath them in a bowl, container, or even the bathtub. Just make sure it's NOT metal! They're extremely sensitive to metal.

If you place them into the water, as descibed above, upside down when they come out and flip themselves right side up the water will swish in and clean the stuff out of the shell.

I never bathe my crabs, I use a hydrometer to test the salt water gravity in my salt water dish. The bowl is deep with slanting step down to deeper levels to let the crabs bath them selves.

I have deep enough pools in my tank too with stones and sponges in them for the smaller hermies to get out. Sometimes you have to bath them though like when they have mites.

I only bath mine once in a while. I have a few little pools for them to go in too. I like to bath the sometimes though, because it makes them more active.

yeah I can understand you bathing them if they have mites i suppose i am lucky, my crabs have never had mites.

Yeah. It's always good to bath them just to get sand and poop out of their shells though.

I think mine enjoy it. I put them in a plastic container. It freaks them out at first but they're happier and more active afterwards.
