Not both males and females have gonopores. I was taught the way to sex a female or male is flip them onto their back and when you see 2 holes in their 2nd set of walking legs you know it's a female. No holes, it's a male.

I did not say that females and males had the gonopores, it is the females who do have these, males do not. It was pleopods that were being discussed at first, and yes in some 'species' it is said that both have the pleopods.

hmm...i usually check when there bathing, because they come out a little farther than usaul..(genepores.)
