How long before your crabs were used to you?

Depends, no less than a half hour but usually more like an hour. (deep clean days sometimes a little longer) But prior to their play time they either have their gills misted to keep them moist while playing, or they have a bath prior to playing. And the pool can eaisly slide under ones bed too when not in use for storage!

how often do you take them out? i only take mine out 2 a week, for 15 mins at the most cuz im so scared to streess them out....but i still want them to get exersize

I just take mine out almost everyday and let them roam on the sofa while Mom does school with me. It's for about an hour before I put them back. They love going out to excersize.

Mine used to come to the food bowl whenever it was feeding time. Then they'd all wait by the food bowl until I had fed them.

Bah mine only seem to eat every other day! One day I'll put food in, and they'll go at it, the next day, nobody touches any. Is that normal? Silly little buggers.

I need to take mine out to play. It's about time!

Sometimes mine eat every single day. Other times they don't eat for weeks at a time.

They are very finicky and choosy about when and what they eat.

Last night I was fooling in the hermie tank trying to get it rearanged. Wiggles decided to go shell shopping right in front of me.

The room light was on and the tank lid was off. It's only a 10 gal. tat so I thought it was pretty amazing.

I've had him for several years now. I play with them a lot and I guess he kinda trusts me. The other 2 hermies would just as soon hide from me, but this crab is an exception.

Sometimes. But then I don't handle them for weeks at a time when I'm busy. Funny thing is, when I do play with the hermies, I play rough with Wiggles. He's such a silly crab. I've flipped him on his back a number of times and pretended that I was a big super hermie that was about to eat him up.
