i know that crabs can eat celery leaves, but what about the celery sticks.
i was about to give some to my little bulldozers, and thourght hey maybe for some unuasural reason they cant eat the stick part so yeah better to be safe, then sorry

You know, that's a great question, as both the Epicurean Hermit site and Hermit Crab Cuisine have only 'celery leaves' listed. I have put celery stalks (the yellow, softer ones in the middle of the celery bunch) in the crabs' food bowl but I never thought to look to see if they ate it. I know they ate the leaves - those things got dragged and buried all over the place. I tentatively say yes, but I'd like confirmation from someone else before you give it to them.

I've put in celery, it's not a big hit. I'm guessing it's just like iceburg lettuce, there's no real nutritional value there.

i dont think ill bother with the stalks, they probably wont eat it anyway.
