Small Crab, Big Crab, Same Crabitat

Post by Mr.Crab »

I have a small crab, & a big crab, they get together so well together, ive had them since may 20 2008 and i havnt seen any pinchers or claws on the ground, they never tackle each other or fight, i know its a bad idea to be putting a small crab and a big crab together. They can go into a small hut together for hours and nothing will happen (at least i cant tell)... So don't believe anyone who says a small and a big crab together is not alright.

Yeah, that's true. It really depends on the nature of the crabs. For instance, some of my crabs that are the same sizes don't get along that good. Mr. Krabs and Xena are the same size, and they have shell fights all the time. :( I hear chirping a lot between them and have to isolate Mr. Krabs often. They were both bought from the same store too. As long as the big crab is good natured, I'm sure that things would go great between him and smaller crabs. I'm longing for a larger crab. :(

Me too. I'm getting 4 more on wednesday. I'm getting a bigger tank very soon because I need it now! 9 hermies in a 15 gallon wouldn't work for a long while. Even if they are all tiny.

Thanks. I found one that leaks, but they need to get a replacement tank first. If they don't get one by the end of the month, I'm going to have to get a different one.

Cool, my glass hermit crab cage broke because my step dad smashed it when cleaning out the sand.. the cracks are big, but i sealed em um with non-toxic clear tape. it looks discusting but it'll work till i get something bigger.
