Basically, anything besides dairy. They're still scavengers - whether captive or wild.

Hermit crabs don't have access to dairy products in the wild, so they may not digest it properly. I cannot guarantee that dairy products are harmful to hermit crabs though. I remember feeding them small chunks of my birthday cake to them but they are still perfectly fine today. I'd just suggest that you don't give them any dairy in case something happens.

ive also found that my 2 indos. love olives..i put one in there and they went crazy trying to eat it and then they started fighting over it so i put another one in there and each of my crabs took an olive into their hole and ate and ate. they love olives
