Hermit crabs don't have access to dairy products in the wild, so they may not digest it properly. I cannot guarantee that dairy products are harmful to hermit crabs though. I remember feeding them small chunks of my birthday cake to them but they are still perfectly fine today. I'd just suggest that you don't give them any dairy in case something happens.

For the least harmful, and most nutritious way to feed hermits please read my essays at:
http://www.crabstreetjournal.com/epicur ... _intro.php
http://www.crabstreetjournal.com/module ... =0&thold=0
It will explain my food theories (based on my reading of scientific research papers), what foods and food types are safe, and ways to feed things that used to be considered bad, like citrus fruit.

FMR is the best.
My crabs are crazy for the FMR stuff.
