tank not fogging up
hi, i have 3 hermit crabs and i have recently bought a new tank and it is 4 times the size of my old one, my old one was made of plastic but my current one is made of glass and its winter and I'm having troubles making it fog up and I've just recently learned that hermit crabs have gills and they use that to breathe so I'm worried about them and i really need some info on how to fix the problem. I currently have 2 15cm x 15cm heaters placed on the back of my tank and have surrounded the back and both sides with cork board. They are no longer active, plez help

Re: tank not fogging up
Not really sure what you mean about fogging up. My glass only does that sometimes when we have a really cold night so the room temp is a heap below the tanks but it's not something I aim for.
Do you have anything to measure your humidity? What is your humidity?
What is your daytime and late nighttime temperatures?

I've got very similar to one of these. Surprisingly accurate for the price.

I put all three sensors into the tank as I could never work out which thermometer one was supposed to be for inside and which for out. Gives you temp and humidity, just make sure the sensors are down at hermit crab ground level but up just enough they can't get hold to climb.
