Upset with Vendor regarding Shells

Post by babesbarn »

I have purchased some beautiful Hermie Shells from the
Naples Seashell Company
. Several times I was lured in (so I feel) to Hermit Crab Shells that are suitable for my Hermit Crabs. I am not a novice buyer but believe me I feel like I have been duped.
I once purchased shells that were so big that a Hermit Crab would have to be 5 pounds to live in it. Ok, So beautiful as they are I gave them away as gifts. Then again, I go back and see that the 2 inch opening was advertised for some shells. Oh Glory Be..I thought. Finally an opening suitable for my Growing Hermies. WRONG. What was once advertised as a Three and Four inch overall size Shell is now promising a two inch opening.
What is wrong with this picture...the SAME SHELLS as Before? I measured the inside of the shells and from top to bottom at the opening YES it is two inches but a good three and a half inches WIDE.
The measuring Chart was there on their site and it shows side to side at two inches. WRONG. I am so fed up with finding a shell just under two inches. Any hints aside from Ebay? (!)
