Okay...we call it a "her" and "Rosie" cause of it's color...what species?

She's too shy...she won't come out yet with us holding her.

that rosy color really is very unique. :) when she comes out, take a pic so we can see all of her :)

Thanks all!

What is weird...I'll try to get a pic...is the one leg that is always tucked above her pincher when I hold her, looks like a straw's leg...I'm serious...it's pretty pink/red.

I am trying so hard (but without overstimulating her) to get her to come out...

I am blowing warm air into her shell and keeping her still when in my hand...but she will NOT come out unless I move her out from under the coconut fiber, and then, once she's back in the tank, will get out to eat, and move back under the coconut fiber.

Even then, the minute I come a foot or more away from the tank, you see her shell drop. VERY shy little bugger!

You could try to give her a bath and then place her on a smooth surface. Even my shy ones are active after a bath. As for the pink leg I know mine after they have regrown a leg looks pink /red.
