What Kind of Crabs are mine?

Post by Krabber5544 »

I need help figuring out what species all of my krabs are! I've looked at the pictures, but It's not helping. One of my krabs has a very large, brown claw. My other krab is completely red. My third krab is whitish-reddish (But not pink!), meaning part of him is white and the other part is a light red. Please Help!

Pictures would help :)

PP's are the most common, and they can actually be a variety of colors. The red one could be a straw...but only if eyes and dot color match pictures of other straws.

They sound like Es to me. Did you get them from the same place? What kind of shells do they have? And yes, pics would help.

The one with the brown claw sounds like an ecuadorian to me. If it doesn't have pinstrips on it's legs than it is possibly a ruggie. Just to let you know, I own 8 hermit crabs. My oldest has been living with me for a year and was from a carnival!

The only way we can ID for sure is if you have pictures of your crabs to show us.
