Ok so I have a hermit crab that has been under the sand for a little over 3 months and now today he came out which really makes me happy! When I first got him his exoskeleton was a really dark red but now it's a lighter red with some very apparent blue spots. Does this mean he's lacking calcium or is he alright?

I'm using Eco Earth and beach sand unmixed, they are about 5 inches deep

I use distilled
If you are using a dechlorinator, what brand is it? Does it state to remove all heavy metals, chlorine and chloramines?

What brand of sea salt are you using to supply your hermit crabs with salt water?
Oceanic
What heat source are you using and where is it positioned?
I'm using a UV lamp that lights the entire tank and an under heating pad
Have you calibrated your thermometer(s) and hygrometer so that you can interpret accurate readings?
No
What is the air temperature range and humidity inside the tank?
Temperature is about 70 to 75 degrees, I don't measure the humidity but it's good enough to grow mold haha
What is the highest temperature that the substrate near the heat source reaches?
75 degrees
