please help

last night i decided just to sit and watch my new hermit crab..i just got him saturday night and i was just watching him and he kept almost coming out of his shell like only his tail thing was still in the shell...and then he would go back in...5 minutes later he would come out and go back in..he did that around 7 times..and then when he almost came out he tried to turn around in his shell like he was twisting 180 degrees..is he ok?? and now hes buried in the dirt and if i touch his shell he doesnt move at all.... whats wrong with him?? can u please give me advice someone??

He may be just trying to get used to his new home. Just leave him alone, and he'll be back out and normal.
