Bathing

Post by Invalidgamertag »

Whenever I try to bathe my hermit crab he always freaks out and runs around trying to escape as if he's hurting. I make sure the water isn't too hot or too cold and nonmetal. I don't want to hurt him and I'm very worried that I have a mite infestation. How do I go about bathing him properly? I've read several articles and I do everything right but he seems as if he doesn't like to be underwater.

I suggest just leaving him water bowls where he can choose to bathe himself in... If their water bowls are deep enough then it shouldn't be a problem.
I personally don't like to bathe them, hermit crabs make their own ratio of SW to FW; where us bathing them can throw out the balance.

I've never had any problems with 'Impulse Buying'. They're just animals that I forgot I had planned to get.
