Depends.... How long have you had him? Is he active or sluggish? Is he eating? Did he just drop the part or do you know if there was a fight?

In that case...

She lost her limb in either a shell fight or she was very stressed out. That does not mean she will die soon. She may start getting stronger and when she molts she will start growing a new leg.

Is she eating? Is she active or is she sluggish and staying in one place?

If your hermie is not moving much and drinking lots of water she may be premolt. SHe may be too weak to sig a hole so take an ice cream scoop and dig her a small hole and put her in it. If she is interested she will bury herself in the hole for a few weeks.

shes very active but slow at times.

Then leave her be. She will adjust and be fine. If there is a change, let us know.

Leave her be, put her on top of the food and occasionally on top of the water
