Cement Glue or Crazy Glue?
Hi, I was in a pet store and saw an ornament that was a pvc pipe with small river rocks glued on it. I have a pvc pipe cut in half as a hiding place for my crabs. I bought some small river rocks at a dollar store and am going to glue them on their bridge. I have both types of glue and am wondering if it is safe to use to glue the rocks on?

Can you provide a link to the products so we can read more about them?

Re: Cement Glue or Crazy Glue?
sorry, no, they are from a dollar store called dollareama and that's all it lists, no company etc/ maybe the better question to ask is.....what type of glue is safe to use then? I'm not worried about them touching the glue as it will be under the rocks, i am concerned an=bout breathing it in or something

Re: Cement Glue or Crazy Glue?
PVC pipe releases gases that can be toxic.
Any time you use glue in the tank you should stick to aquarium adhesive. It comes in clear and in black, so be careful when purchasing that it SAYS it is clear. I bought some that did not state it was black, but it was so wasn't very useful for making decorations! I would not use any other glue in the tank as they are not approved for use on items used by living things.
Hope that helps!

Aquariums (the ones that sell more exotic fish) should have them.

CrabbyJo is right about the plastic PVC pipe:

You can also get a coconut hut, crabs really seem to like (and eat!) them. I use hot glue for a couple pieces of velcro that kept falling out, I believe it's safe since it's only melted and hardened plastic, but am not positive.
I would NOT use super glue though

Re: Cement Glue or Crazy Glue?
ok thanks, I have a glue gun and glue so I can try that. I've had pvc logs in my tanks for a yr and things have been fine. I checked out the adhesive and was told it won't hold rocks,,,
