Difficulties Molting?

Post by erikleeson »

My small E, Wesker, buried himself and came back up a few days later. He didn't show any premolting signs beforehand, and when he came up he didn't stock up on water or anything. The next day he went back down, and now he's back up again. He has repeated this several times. He is the size of a 2 liter bottlecap and the playsand is 4 1/2 inches deep and moist. Is he doing this for fun or is he having difficulties molting? Xavi is a golf ball sized PP and he molted fine. Is there anything I should do?

Temp and humidity are fine.

Does he currently display any pre-moult signs? If he is preparing to moult, he may be looking for an ideal burial spot. If he feels insecure, he may pop out to look for a new location.

He's been up for about 3 days now. He's been hiding and walking around. I don't really see him digging. He's been climbing as well. All his burial spots are on the warm side of the tank
