Which cooked meats do crabs like best and how should they be cooked so they are safe for them ?

To say a favorite is a little hard due to each hermie having their own personalities and tastes. How to cook, with no seasoning (unless ocean salt mix is used) and steamed with dechlor water, or it can be cooked in a coconut oil too.

Thanks, Ive never added anything to the meat i gave the hermies i always just put a piece aside and do for them in the microwave , i put it in the snap lock glad steam bags that u get to steam your vegies in. i brought them because if im not eating at home or having something they cant like thai or pizza

i can always do their vegs n stuff before i go out.

I've sauteed with extra virgin olive oil and they seem to like that. I also will sometimes put some crab-safe oil or even a juice/fruit/veggie on a plate with the meat and microwave them all together. For example, I've done chicken with dried coconut flakes and lime juice. Smelled fantastic, and a definite favorite with the crabs!

i gave my crabs some fish, with seasalt.
i think they liked it.

The only meat I cooked for my crabs when I had them was the chicken. I never cooked pork or beef at all. No one cooks it in the wild for them so why should we cook it for them? That was how I always stated it.

I've offered cooked chicken, they like it. I tried cooked steak, it was picked at. The cooked shrimp tails were party favors LOL

I've tried raw pork, they didnt touch it. I have a friend who put in a raw pork chop and ended up playing tug of war with her crab!! He was dragging it out of the dish to his hut and she wanted to keep it in the bowl for the other crabs, LOL it was hilarious!

I've done raw fish, raw shrimp and raw scallops. Those were devoured. I'll contiunue to feed raw that they will eat.
