Do hermit crabs actually hear?

I know that they sense vibrations, but do they actually hear?

vibrations make sound...i don't think the crabs actually hear tho, they might.

i wish crabs could talk. they're so mysterious and there's so much we can learn about them! it's frustrating at times. if they can't hear, it doesn't matter, i still talk to them just the same...

i sit by the cage and as i pick each up, i call them each by name and ask them how they've been etc. Our convos kinda go like this:

hey bebe! how's my girl doin'? watcha doin baby? huh? *sets bebe on floor* there ya go!
hey wendy! come out and see momma! watcha doin sweetie? *puts wendy on floor*

yes, i get that message too. i just started getting that message recently, like last week. i dunno what it is, i didn't know you could exceed posts.

Well mine you make explosion noise and they won't react, but if I say come on out *POP* they are out. ODD isn't it?

Also can hermit crab see good like in colors like us or shadows like insects, etc.?

Thats a good question. I never thought about that. I do know that my crabs seem to prefer to be on my red plant instead of the green vines.

i'll have to do some research on that. wendy seems to like the orange hut as opposed to the brown one. but lemi and bebe will go into either one. doesn't matter to them. but i'll look it up!
