Hermit crab weird behaviour

Post by crabcarrer1234 »

My hermit crab recently has not been eating his mix of bananas and blue berries but instead some tree bark i put in his tank.I am a new hermit crab owner but i have been interested since my sister had gotten but left for a trip to Spain then they died after my mom was supposed to look after them.

I really don't want my crab jack black to die as i just got him a new shell after his old one has a hole in it.

Please help me make a new recipe if needed i just want him to be active and happy, :D :)

They will eat a wide variety of foods, but check what type of bark you have in there as some types are potentially harmful such as eucalyptus and citrus wood.

Yes The branches are safe they came from a oak tree and my crab loves nibbling on it.

That’s fine then; don’t be overly concerned and give them a wide variety of foods including protein sources such as meat as well.
