So I got a new crab today and I was just holding him and he tried to eat me. He kept pinching me with his little claw and then would move it to his mouth. Never had that happen before.

wierd. It could be he is very scared, being new and all. Or unfortunately it could even be he is hungry. The pet store probably had many crabs,a nd little food.

not the case. he was probably eating the salt off your skin. crabs that are in petstore are often starved for salt and they will sit in saltwater dishes for hours. give him lots of saltwater along with freshwater and maybe even put some seasalt in his food

wendy does that every time i pick her up. i figured it was the salt, but they have a pretty large salt water pond...where can i get safe seasalt? do i put it in their food?

i got a container of it in the fish section of petsmart. it says sea salt rite on it. i put some in my foos and they love it

huh. i'll have to see about getting some. does it look like sea salt? is it the same type of thing that you make their salt water with?
