Re: Where would you buy from ?
I have a guy that I get Hermies from, he is very nice, and has very healthy crabs, he does ship them, but everytime I buy them from him he gets them to me the next day, he is very resonable priced and I dont have to worry about sick crabs when I get them.... If you would like information email me.
Thanks

Re: Where would you buy from ?
Without a doubt - The Crabbage Patch. We live close enough (90+ miles) that we go there every few months to get new ones. We have over 30 crabs, and except for 4 from a good condition pet store, all the rest are from The Crabbage Patch. Tammy is the owner's name and she won't even send you a crab unless you know enough about how to care for them the right way.
Sadly, I lost some Es to a mouse in the house, but of the over 40 crabs I've gotten from TCP, not a single one ever suffered from PPS and not one ever buried down to destress and I have had only two deaths. All of the crabs have been through at least one moult with Tammy - she will not sell a crab that hasn't recently moulted at least once while in her care.
If you want a crab from Tammy she'll usually call and discuss it with you. She ships the crabs overnight and insists that someone be at the address to take them. She often calls later in the day to make sure they arrived alright.
The overnight postage is about $30, but you can buy more than one crab at a time to ship.
While I understand people like to do rescues, I'm just not a Nurse Nancy type, and I know it. It's been really great bringing up healthy crabs, knowing they came from an excellent home where the conditions are pluperfect.
