I actually seperated them this morning, because last night Zachary dug himself down again, and when I woke up this morning Scoops was basically sitting right on top of where Zachary had dug... so I figured I probably should. So I used the divider and split it in half and have food/water in each....

So that's taken care of.... how long do they usually take to molt / harden exoskeleton?

I'll read on the food, thanks!

And here's best pics I could get of Scoops and his pincher...

Do to the coloring and no markings on his large pincher I am leaning towards an E. However, I cannot see or count if he has any stitch markings //// on his large pincher?

Look how long the eyes are, its very likely an E.

The shell is native to the Ecuadorians habitat.

Just a thought.

His left rear walking leg doesn't have the 'armor' type look that rugs do, and he doesn't have the 'marking' going up the middle of his large pincher. Now the 'armored' back left leg isn't always a 100% thing, and due to how dark his coloring is possibly the marking in the middle of the LP wouldn't show either. From the angle of the picture it is hard to see if he has the traditional dark markings under his eye stalks. So right now I would really like a close up of that large pincher, or a stitch mark /// counting from the large pincher. Rugs can come in dark or lighter colorings, as well as E's can too. Kristina, can you help here please?

Well, the dark coloring is questionable. Rugs can be all sorts of colors including the one shown in the image, but so can E's. Although E's rarely have such dark vibrant coloring like this. At least the ones I have seen anyway. The stitch marks on the big pincer would help although E's can also have the stitch marks but not nearly as often as Rugosus which has much more noticeable ones.

Perhaps maybe it is a rug? Rug's usually have a \/ sort of marking on the thorax I believe, correct me If I'm wrong.

We're lucky to have such good images though, this is a toughie.

Both E's and rugs always have the stitch markings on their large pincher. The smaller ones are sometimes harder to see. (but a magnifying glass with a bifocal dot comes in real handy in those type situations.) But many times rugs (not always) will also have the 'armored' left rear walking leg.

They also have the dark dots/markings under the eyes....but really hard to see on the darker colored rugs. But the 'marking' I am mentioning too on the large pincher also helps, but again not always as noticeable on the darker rugs. 90% of the time one can tell by the number of stitch marks on the large pincher. Kristina if this hermie is still up, (not burrowed) and if you would feel more comfortable, please pm me how many stitches you can count on his large pincher.

I'm not exactly sure what you meant by stitch marks, so I just tried to take some better pictures of his pincher...

And yes he is missing two claw-tips, one worst that the other... I'm pretty sure he's doing it by snapping them off in the holes along the roof of the cage... he climbs across the roof upside down all the time and sticks his little legs through the slats in it... they have been seperated so it's not from fighting (I'm pretty sure Zachary is molting at this point as I have no idea where he is and haven't seen him for two days)...
