i don't know, but i know it'll be easier for me, and possibly for the crabs, who knows.

come to think of it, i think that i have them on a schedule. in the morning i change their food, pick up the huts, make them walk around, while i get ready for school/work. when i leave i put the huts back in and leave. lunch time i eat, then take them out for about 10 mins, spray the coconut wall and check the meters, put them back, i leave. after work i come home, take them out again while i watch tv (usually 20-30 mins). that's their life, so i guess they do have a schedule. how funny.

ya, i would call that a schedule!!! lol, that is weird. I was playing with my hermies for a while before i had to leave, it was fun. i will do it agian tomorrow morning!! i need to wake up earlier!

as you already know, i thought that it was a good poll question, so i asked everyone. is it hard for them to breathe outside the cage?

harder. they can breathe, but just not properly. that's a main reason why i stopped taking them out was because i didn't think they were happy. Does anyone else know?!

no, i wasn't sure about it. i just know that with out proper humdity hermit crabs can't breathe correctly. that's why your humdity needs to be stable all the time. I don't know if it's true, but they have gills that can dry out, but i don't think it affects them that quick. it might affect them over a few days or something, i don't really know, don't listen to me.

well it makes sense. good thing they don't come out of the cage for long periods of time. wendy got caught last night trying to get out. but adam got her and she climbed down the wall. i think she's had enough of an adventure that day. lol
