but really, you SHOULD check if they are empty!!! there could be a crab in there!!

well i boiled them and only one has paint coming off semi well. i've taken a knife to them to help peel off the paint. the other paint isn't coming off so well. any other ideas? i boiled them for 15 mins, peeled as much paint off as i could, boiled them again, and repeated this process all night tuesday. no luck.

try using normal nail polish remover then biol the shells really good. people on CSJ said thos works.

i got a lot of the paint off of 2 of them. it's hard to get it off of one end on my last shell. i still have paint in the deep creases of the others. i'll try nail polish tonight after work. i hope it works! thanks!

it helped a little. except for one shell i can't get the paint off the end. *sighs* i'll try dipping it in the nail polish remover. i have today off so i can try different things. after i use the remover i should boil them again right? that helps to sanitize them?

yes, i think so. people on CSJ do that.
