everyone at my retail job, except karyn, says that they remind them of spiders. i call them wimps. i go "a 2 year old loves them and you guys can't stand them.....what's the problem here?" lol

I rescued a kitten from a bank and I took her to the vet to have her checked out. We were talking about all the animals that I have. (They had been talking about the ecoli in the fresh spinach that is being recalled.)
she said talk about ecoli. I said what do you mean she said you can get it from hermit crabs. I was like what they are clean animals. Anyone know?

I had read before that they were fairly clean animals too thats why I was shocked when the vet said that.

well i've done some searching around and i can't find anything linking hermits to ecoli. any one else find anything?
