does any one have ideas to boost the color of my hermit crab he looks kinda gray any ideas?

Shellfish like shrimp and krill will help. Foods high in beta carotene and other natural colorants (like carrots and red apple skin and grapes and...honestly, anything colorful) will help him get the nutrients he needs.

If he is pale though, it could be a sign of pre-molt. Have you noticed another pre-molt signs (e.g. hanging out in the salt water bowl, eating like a horse, digging, etc.)?

i havent seen him eat he only ate once some popcorn but thats it and he does dig alot i havent seen him at the salt ater dish lately

Whatever you do, do NOT go digging around to try to find him. If he's been dug under lately, he may be molting and that could kill him. Just continue to put food in daily and change the water as well. How long have you had this crab?

3-4 months hes not molting dont worry i can see him in the coco shell on the other hand all the rest of my crabs(3)are under the sand
