Water and Food dishes...

Post by Chermo »

I am interested in seeing what everyone uses for their water dishes. I am thinking about getting something different for the main tank so what I currently use can go in the ISO tank. Please give me a picture of you food and water dishes so I can make my decision. I am really wanting the flukers jacuzzi but I can't find them anywhere but online so I decided I would see what others are using. I want something kinda deeper but am wanting to see what others use. I currently have these corner dishes but I want deeper.....

My food dish is just a glass shell that I can't find a picture of. I think there's one in the gallery. And this is was I have for my water dishes: (upgrading to bigger ones soon)

I am new to hermies 6 days now. And I just realize I push all my bowls down to grown level. I know they are climbers but one of mine does not seeme to really climb alot. I am also afraid of drownding. Right now I am using cottage cheese lids with water in them. Should I go deeper?

You need deeper bowls for water dishes, they need to be able to fully submerge them selves if they feel they want to. That is the main reason I am looking into different bowls now because Kermi is to big for the bowls I have so I want something deeper than what I have. I have mine pushed into the sand so they are sand level but maybe a little bit above sand level since I don't want sand pushed into them, you just can't see that in the picture since I have an over head picture. Maybe get some cottage cheese or butter containers and cut them to a great size then use aquarium sealant to glue shells to the sides somehow covering the cut part so your crabs don't get hurt and then use those. Cheap and a better choice.

Do the measurements of the groovy jacuzzi account for the entirety of the thing, or just the inside, as in where the water will be? I'm difinitely getting one but the size is of utmost importance to me.

I was looking through my bowls...I have tons! I seriously have six different water bowls...and I'm not really sure how I got them all either. But I do...everything from colored plastic pet bowls from Wal-Mart to some of the cool tree-stump looking ones and a Zoo-Med corner one with stairs coming out of it.

Do you have 2 of them? One for fresh, one for salt?
