Re: salt water
I've never seen pre-made salt water. I think all of us on here buy the salt water mixes in the fish section of the pet store. If you visit the survey about what brand of salt water mix people use at viewtopic.php?f=54&t=2469 you can see which ones most people use - these are probably some of the best ones to use. The salt you buy will last a while. The instructions are for making a gallon at a time, which works out really well if you buy gallons of reverse osmosis or distilled water from the grocery store. You just open it up, pour a little out, add the salt to the water, and add as much of the poured-out water as you can again.
I don't know what kind of salt water would be at a Shop Rite store - the water you want isn't SALT water so much as it is OCEAN water. There is a lot more than salt in ocean water - various other minerals that your crab will need. The nice thing about buying the containers of salt at the pet store is they last a long time - I still have well over half of mine almost a year later. I think mine cost around $20 at my pet store, but I got the biggest one they had so I wouldn't have to buy more for a long time.
