A Saving buy. I Hope!

I went to the pet store today and was getting food for some of my other animals. I went over just to look at the hermies. There were only about 10 in the cage. I noticed this one little guy (well medium sized). I picked him up and looked at him closly when I was checking to see if he was male or female I noticed he had 2 legs misssing. It was a male by the way . It was also a very ashy grey color. I knew he needed to come home with me so he could moult. I brought him home and placed him in my tank and sure enough he went straight under. So I hope he will be successful.

TYVM I sure will let you all know how it goes. My kids want to name him Mr. Crabs but lucky is a good name for him.
They want the next ones to be named after sponge bob characters. One of their favorite shows

Just a quick update. I was wondering how he was doing but I did not want to dig him up you know. Well I woke up and found his shell I bought him in laying empty and a new hole dug. So that is a good thing. I know he is alive so far.

yay! That's good!! hehe, sounds like my crab. He got up to change shells then went right back down.

how strange. mine have stuck with one shell when they went under. that's kind of funny though. he'll thrive with your care though.

i have to go get wendy a new shell. she should be going under for her 2nd molt in the next couple weeks so i want a shell for her. i'm hoping not to be tempted with another crab. i decided that i want to try a jumbo hermie after my 3 i have now pass away. hopefully in about a year. lemi's doing something odd. he came up from his 2nd molt successfully, however he won't stop digging holes everywhere! he's been in a different spot every day. is he just playing? it's getting annoying. i have bebe under for her 2nd molt and i'd like to see lemi more than a day. lol.

maybe lemi is trying to find a good spot to recover form his molt...that's weird...

maybe, he won't stay under longer than 24 hours. but then he'll go right back down. none of my other crabs did that after their molt....
