Basil leaves are fine too. I don't think anyone has tried the "flavored" varieties, but I would presume that they would be acceptable too. If you decide to try the cinnamon basil, just do it on the side, by itself and see their reaction. Don't mix it with other food until you are sure they've eaten it without bad affects.
