Can I use API Tap Water Conditioner?

I heard that stress coat was NOT good for hermies so I got this stuff that is called Tap Water Conditioner "Aquarium Decholrnater" made by a company called API is it okey to use this? Oh and it says on the bottle thingy "Removes chlorine and breaks the chloramine bond".

I saw that stuff, but your thinking of a different one, get the API one that says "tap water conditioner"

Also, you may want to get a little bottle as the huge ones are meant for large aqauriums, not a little water dish.

Letting it sit does not remove the chlorine and other chemicals put in the water. That is if you live in the city.

Pattycake - that conditioner you refer to is the correct thing to use. The small 1 oz bottle lasts a really long time. It is the same as I use.

Your water is probably treated. You can check with your town.

Tap water may not have been treated with chlorine. Some people may have their own well. If your water comes from a central town/city system check with your water department as to what they do/use to treat the water.

You could try bottled water and examine how pure it is. Is StressCoat actually harmful?
