I never see my hermie Sandy, in the food bowl eating. Even when I put her in the food bowl she doesn't want to eat. I'm feeding her some highly nutritious food from the Addiction store. Most crabs would love to sit down for a chomp, but not her. Sandy just sits in a corner and chills out. My other 2 crabs are down; one is chilling and the other molting. What's going on?
Hermit crab usually eat in the late evening. The least likely time you would see them eating is when your eating - noon.
Hermit crabs eat little amounts of food. Your crab isn't starving itself, place 4 plain cheerios in the food dish. In the morning, count how many there are left, usually a crab will have dragged it around the tank and eating it. My larger crabs can eat half of one cheerio in a few hours.
Or place the addiction store food in the dish, and in the morning check to see substrate in the dish and pinch parks around the food.
Some hermit crabs eat more than others.

I've never seen any of my hermies eating, or have seen any food moved. It's pretty uninspirering to see that my hard effort with the fresh fruits and veggies has possibly gone to waste. Though, they must be eating because they would all be dead by now from starvation if they weren't!

Well Here's The Truth of it, I rarely See My crabbys Eat, But I Do See An Awfull Lot Of Poo So Therefore I Have Come To The Conclusion They must Be Eating to Produce all That Poo!

I'm not seeing any poo either. But with only 1 crab surface wise that could be expected. When all three were up top I saw tons of poo. I do feed my hermie in the late evening. She's active some, she just doesn't want to eat.
I don't see poop too much, they probably defecate in shelters. There are a ton of climbing toys stacked on top of shelters, so I can't remove them to easily. If you really think your crabs are going hungry, feed them they're favorite foods.

Rose Petals
Maple leaves
Pre killed Mealworms
That should get them eating. Also check your conditions, low heat and humidity cause them to be lethargic. I read that heat also helps them digest their food.

That should keep it warm enough. Its also a good idea to place climbing structures near the lamp so the crabs can bask if they wish, many of my E's enjoy getting as close to the heat light as they can. My surface temperature is usually around 26o C
My basking area is probably at least 29o C

The only food I've ever seen my hermies eat is a blueberry that I surprised him in the middle of munching. I know that Rack stole a chunk of wheat bread and took it into the cocohut one time (as I had to remove it afterwards) but that's the only thing I've ever known they eat. But they are still alive so I assume they're getting enough to eat.
I agree, the warmer the tank, the more active the hermies (within reason, obviously).
