kennys still moulting but he hasn't moved since he dug in deep. thats been for a week. he didn't even come out to drink or eat. is he going to be ok?

One week is not long at all. You should wait a minimum of one month (or he may come out earlier than that). Do not disturb him or dig him up, because that can seriously damage him and can cause him to take longer or possibly die.

They don't need to eat while molting, or after until they've had their exo. Some species can take water up from damp substrate, too. I've had crabs down as long as 45 days. Just relax, watch a good movie, read a good book. He'll be up when he's ready.
