what species?

Post by Juan576 »

he is strangely dark w/ no purple in whole body, including pincher. He is a very dark brown color.I'll try to get some pictures as soon as I can. In case it matters, I found him at petsmart not noticing he was not a PP. I was so lucky! Anyway, I think he's an E but I'm not 100%. Can someone post pics of and E please, thanks!

Without pictures of the eyes, eye stalks, large pincher and left rear walking leg it is hard to say.
Here are a couple links of pictures that may be of some help:

E's have long eye stalks, not round ones like the PP.

Look at the eye stalks, very very long.

E's also usually have big pincers that are the same color as the rest of their body. E's can be brown, black, blue, tan and orange or a mix of those. PP's are usually only reddish or purple.

You can check the eyestalks to see if it has markings on the front side. If there are some markings it may be a ruggie. A picture would really help!

Thanks everyone! There also a back left walking leg that is flatter than the others on the tip. By "markings" do you mean the puplils like in the pic you posted, erric?

No. Ruggies have marks under their pupils. Look at this picture http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a96/He ... ugeye2.jpg and the arrows point to the things we're talking about.
