Yes I put it back down with the exoskeloton because I did see one was in the shell. I just am not sure if it was dead or not.

I checked on Noah tonight and he was dead so I took him out.

first of all you should never reburry a crab. The crab digs their hole a certian why so that it is like a cave with room to move around in. If you reburry them....well, like, there would be no cave and so they can't move.

I had done that once before and the crab just remade the hole. I know it is not a good thing to tell others to do but I had to check on it. I did not want to get rid of a crab that was moulting and not dead.

Well April and Sarah are still under. I thought maybe we had lost one because when I would take a peak under the habitat I didn't see any movement. Well I rechecked about 3 days later and it appears that the old exo is gone, maybe she is just a slow eater. The other I can still see movement. I try to only check on them about every 5 days or so. I don't want to stress them out by checking everyday. I just can't believe Sarah is still under. I just keep my fingers crossed that all goes well. At the very least I know htat April is still alive. There is about 4 inches of sand but I don't smell any real fishy smell. Just the crab food smell really which smells a bit fishy in itself. I will keep you all posted on their progess. You have all been sooooo helpful....

sounding good! I know, my crab just sit there for like 2 weeks for no reason, maybe de-stressing, but it's annoying, like they are just trying to mad us mad.

i've got lemi down for his 3rd molt and wendy is starting to look for a place. bebe came up a few days ago from her 2nd molt and is as active as ever. i used to be able to see lemi through the glass but this morning he must have moved further in and my 'window' collapsed. lol. wendy was under for 2 days but came back up again. it'll be her 2nd time under, she's a medium size, so she's up and under longer. good times, good times. i found lemi up the other day in the salt water, then he went back under in the same place. that reminds me, i need to change the salt water pond. lol

i like windows, it's cool to see them molt and you get a better idea of when they will come back up and how they are doin'!

Mine like to tease me. They dig right by the glass but then they move on me. I have not been able to see any of the moulting.
