Congrats - how do you keep track of where everyone is? Sounds like you would need a big in/out board!

I bought a journal just for my hermit crabs. Each crab has their own page I flip through it each time and see if I can find that crab and if not I write down that they have buried, if their were buried if they have surfaced and I look to see if anyones shell has become empty then I start to look for a new shell.

i'm considering either doing that or getting a day planner and on each day that they do something (go under/come up) i'll put that down on those particular days.

That's an iseal I just like my journal cause they have a hard cover on it.

so you have 1 page on each of your crabs and you just write down the dates that they do things?

Yeah I can tell you each time my hermies have buried and came back up and when they have switched shells and into what shells and when they have moulted and how long they were down.

wow. i'll have to start something like that. i'll get a notebook and start it when ike and/or lemi reappears. so it's just a hardbacked notebook/journal like thing?
