yeah lemi moved into a painted shell that i somehow missed in my rush to get the paint off all the shells. all the shells that were painted were plain white. ike moved into the shell that lemi moved out of, which i figured he would. that's why i had to get the paint off that shell first. i'll get lemi's shell in a couple months when he moves out. he's been growing so fast lately. i'm proud of him! now bebe changed shells into a shell that i really like. it's a smaller version of wendy's. i got a pretty grey shell and another shell that's a bigger version of wendy's current one, for her to move into sometime. i was hoping she'd go for the grey one bc i love it.....but no. she immediately checked out the one that looks like hers. *sighs* kids

Yeah like kids never do what you want them to do or the way you want them to do it. I have found some of the prettiest shells peeling the paint off of the painted ones. I have had so many shell changes lately.

i have one painted shell, lol. i haven't ever got to taking tyhe paint off...maybe i will do that today. it's a whale's eye shell (or a dolphin's eye) that Gumbo came in.

well all the painted ones that i took the paint off of, there was a reason they were painted. i'm sure that the one that lemi is in now, is plain boring white underneath. it's a shame really, but the paint really needs to come off.

UGHHH!! taking the paint of is horrible!! there's like primer on and then there's a like a seal!!! >[ i almost have all the paint of....but geez.

i had to boil and put nail polish on 3 of my shells for.....i guess i worked on thos for 4 days. i didn't get them all done, but most of the paint is off. i took a knife to it and it seemed to work ok. i just ran the point of the knife along the creases in the shell and the paint came off in strips.

I boiled mine and it losens that primer stuff up and then I used a window scraper (metal thing that has a razor blade in it) to get it off. Have used scissors too.

i used a nail file thing that worked, lol. i scraped it off, but it was really tiring.

I hear that my kids were helping me (the bigger ones) and they complained the whole time. I told them to leave them and let me do it then. Better than listening to them complain.
