Re: Updating Crab Care section
Or maybe the bag had airholes or was permeable to air? If the crabs managed to survive the shipment to arhoads, I guess the bag wouldn't have been airtight. However, I wouldn't encourage people putting hermit crabs in 'bags' anyway.

Re: Updating Crab Care section
If there were airholes in the bag wouldn't it be all deflated? If i remember correct aroads said that he only is one state away from the people that shipped the crabs.

If there are materials inside the bag to force it open then it won't be deflated e.g. moss.

Re: Updating Crab Care section
You're right Wai, and please do not underestimate what or how some will ship hermies. There was somebody once from California that used cardboard box, with the popcorn foam and paper inside the box..... The person who lived in Texas who received them noted that it looked like the foam had munch marks in it. A couple of her hermies arrived DOA, and the other couple died a slow chilling death within 3 days.I was thinking that shredded paper and foam wasn't a good idea for them to munch on. I had the impression that people just fill the whole box with loose moss for that purpose.
