Tropic Aire Humidifier

Post by Onyxsun1 »

Kerie,

What I did was just turn off the sunglow for the time. I am leaving the flourscent and the moonglow on for now. I did look at the box the humidifier came in and it said that 4000cc's are needed for a 55 gallon tank. The pump I have says 2800cc's. Well my tank is 10 gallons but for now the sunglow off and the moonglow on still gives me the temp I need and the humidity stays at about 60%. There were no kinks in the line so it is just a matter of a bigger pump.
Something really great happened today as well. We went into petco for a smaller wattage sunglow bulb and my husband and I found a 40 gallon breeder tank with a manufacturers defect in the glass. I asked them what kind of a deal they would make me and they gave it to me for a song. They are holding it for me until Friday. I am getting a stand and glass top for it as well so here goes more room, more crabs.
I will post some pics on the crabstreet journal as soon as I figure out how to make them go to my gallorie and not to the bit bucket. I have posted 4 photos and they all went to the bit bucket if you would like to see them. They are all listed as Onyxsun1
Later,
Kathy.....

Pretty crabs!

Kathy!

Your crabs sure are pretty. Good sized, too! Looks like molting time is going to be fun. I have a jumbo strawberry that's been dug under since Thanksgiving and no sign of her yet!
