Hi we have a big guy who over 2 inch shell hole- he came out of a most I presume 4 days ago, much larger and totally purple compared to when he went down a few month ago. He hasn't gone into either water pools and climbed up to a plastic orb and hasn't left for 3 days- I fed him via chopticks a slurry of exo mix, mango, peanut butter, dried shrimp, honey and few grains of instant ocean. He ate a little bit and turned around not wanting me to bother him. He looks around a lot but hasn't left. Should I bathe him or make that antibacterial wash of myrh calendula flower mix? Should I spray some water near him or take him and put him near the pools? He's so large and special we hate to lose him.
We have followed every guideline for habitat - that Mary Akers recommends.

Re: Giant hermit crab not leaving hanging orb for 3 days
Hello, he is likely very fatigued post-moult. I would suggest just leaving him alone; he will likely become more active after one or two weeks.
