The only time I bathe my crabs is when introducing new ones, or I bathe a newly molted crab (in the other crabs' salt water pool) before putting them back with the others.
I have really large, deep water basins. My crabs bathe themselves.

I do tank cleaning, crab bathing, and shell boxing on Saturdays.
I have so much stuff in my tank for the crabs to run around on and hide in/under that there isn't room for shells. Every week, they go in a dark, towel-lined box with my entire collection of shells in it. Sometimes they change, but most of them are content to stay in the same shell month after month.

I only bathe mine once a month when I do the deep tank cleaning. I have a 180 gallon tank so it is not very easy to get to them. Or if I buy a new crab I megga bathe them. Heather

Hi
Agreed. I never bathe, besides those. It causes stress. The only time I bathe my crabs is when introducing new ones, or I bathe a newly molted crab (in the other crabs' salt water pool) before putting them back with the others.
