What day do you usually bathe your crabs?

The only time I bathe my crabs is when introducing new ones, or I bathe a newly molted crab (in the other crabs' salt water pool) before putting them back with the others.

I have really large, deep water basins. My crabs bathe themselves.

I do mine several days of the week because it is so dry where I live, and don't have a humidifier to regulate my tank. I keep the sand damp, a large sponge, and a towel over the tank, but I want to be safe.

I do tank cleaning, crab bathing, and shell boxing on Saturdays.

I have so much stuff in my tank for the crabs to run around on and hide in/under that there isn't room for shells. Every week, they go in a dark, towel-lined box with my entire collection of shells in it. Sometimes they change, but most of them are content to stay in the same shell month after month.

I only bathe mine once a month when I do the deep tank cleaning. I have a 180 gallon tank so it is not very easy to get to them. Or if I buy a new crab I megga bathe them. Heather

I used to bathe mine once every week, but after reading some comments about bathing from other members, I decided to let them bathe themselves since it was more 'natural'.

I bath mine every Sunday but im going to let them bath themselves when my 33 gallon tank is cleaned out if it better for them..... um how is it better?

In the wild, hermit crabs don't get picked up and put in water to be bathed, so I thought it would be more natural if they just bathed themselves whenever they wanted.

Agreed. I never bathe, besides those. It causes stress.

About every two weeks i bathe them on Saturday/Sunday.
