I don't think they really do. Their bodies are very different from ours, and they aren't affected the way we are by overeating or undereating. From what I've seen with mine, they eat when they need to, and not when they don't. Crabs aren't like humans - they only eat when they need it...not when they're bored, or tired and trying to stay awake, or stuff like that. They sleep when their bodies need it, they eat when they need it, and they molt when they need it...unless the conditions are so bad as to not allow it.

my crabs almost never sleep and are always out and bearly eat...and there sooo strong i cant see how they have so much strength and energy...my friend was holding mr.finger the other day hand he latched on ther her jeens on the back of her leg and didnt let go for a while...then she took her pants off becouse she was freaking out with him hanging there,and then he let go haha then he did the same thing to my other friend, but he was hanging onto her pocket
