Petstore crab, Broke my Heart

Post by Ayume »

About twenty crabs crammed into the tank at my local petstore. They've done well since I gave them heck for conditions last. Two water dishes, dechlor and salt, fresh veggies, coconut fiber humidity etc. Except for one thing. All the crabs were piled into this hut except for one, in the open, half out of her shell and white, pure white with red eyes. Orange leg hollows around her. Poor little moulter, simply exposed, only strong enough to move a limb occasionally. My poor heart, I almost adopted her for the little one's own good.
They gave me a small container after I complained and let me use the stores resources to make her a lovely habitat, set her up in the back under warm dark lights and hopefully she's going to be alright. I'll keep checking up on her.
Good luck Petstore angel!

Wow Ayume, good for you! And good for the pet store to be so accomodating, and for having good conditions.
What a brave little soul, to go ahead and molt there in such conditions. I hope she is well. Thanks for being so caring and active!
